The thing that looks like thoughtfulness (but isn't)
If it feels like caring ...
but it's actually about staying on everyone's good side ...
that's not caring. That's control.
It's sneaky. It doesn't look like a pattern. It looks like being thoughtful.
It shows up in your food. Eating something because you actually know it benefits your body, versus eating it because saying no felt like you'd hurt their feelings (and you subconsciously want to control how they feel ... about you 🤍).
It shows up in your movement. Working out because it's just what you do, versus quietly skipping it because someone's in town and "not doing you" felt easier than protecting your time (although EVERYONE benefits when you've had your workout 🙏🏼).
It shows up in your rest. Your morning quiet. Your meditation. The thing that actually sets the tone for your whole day. Or skipping it, again, because everyone else is up and you didn't want to be the one who wasn't available.
And it adds up ... to stress. Hectic. Anxious. Instead of calm. Instead of actually giving yourself what you know expands your in-joying where you are, what you're doing, who you're with.
This is where I come in 🤍
My clients and I go beyond the habit on the surface, we go to the root. Because the goal was never a "better" version of you that everyone's comfortable with.
It's so the people in your life actually get to have you. Not the version managing everyone. You.
It's time for you to actually be included in your life again.
Where does this control masked as caring show up for you first? 🤍 Message me.
