How habits actually change.
You don’t change a habit by shaming it. You change it by interrupting the pattern ๐๐ผ and practicing a new one.
Notice.
Pivot.
Notice again.
Pivot again.
It’s the same way we teach a baby to use a fork ๐ซถ๐ผ
Hands → wipe off little hands → give them the fork.
Hands → wipe off little hands → give them the fork.
Over and over … until one day they’re 11 and just using the fork!
Our nervous systems learn the same way.
๐ค You notice the Armageddon spiral.
๐ค You notice the emotional eating moment.
๐ค You notice the “I failed again” story.
And instead of piling more (usual) punishment on top …
You pause.
Soften.
Give yourself a small internal hug.
And pivot.
Old patterns got decades of practice.
New ones just need reps.
That’s where things actually can start shifting ๐ค
Here's a little clip of me speaking about this for you to hear too!
Has this come up in your awareness recently … like actually, in your day-to-day?
