How habits actually change.
You don’t change a habit by shaming it. You change it by interrupting the pattern 🙏🏼 and practicing a new one.
Notice.
Pivot.
Notice again.
Pivot again.
It’s the same way we teach a baby to use a fork 🫶🏼
Hands → wipe off little hands → give them the fork.
Hands → wipe off little hands → give them the fork.
Over and over … until one day they’re 11 and just using the fork!
Our nervous systems learn the same way.
🤍 You notice the Armageddon spiral.
🤍 You notice the emotional eating moment.
🤍 You notice the “I failed again” story.
And instead of piling more (usual) punishment on top …
You pause.
Soften.
Give yourself a small internal hug.
And pivot.
Old patterns got decades of practice.
New ones just need reps.
That’s where things actually can start shifting 🤍
Here's a little clip of me speaking about this for you to hear too!
Has this come up in your awareness recently … like actually, in your day-to-day?
